We're not done with 2017 flagships just yet, because HTC is rumored to be about to unveil the HTC U11 Plus – that's the follow up to the HTC U11 that launched earlier in the year. A press event is scheduled for November 2, although there's some debate about whether or not we'll see the Plus then.

In the meantime, there's serial leakster Evan Blass, who posted a host of HTC U11 Plus specs on Twitter over the weekend. Some of them match up with what we've already heard about the phone, but it's worth running through them anyway.

The headline feature is the 6-inch display, with an elongated 18:9 aspect ratio, following the trend that just about every smartphone manufacturer has joined in with this year. Under the hood there's a Snapdragon 835 and either 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

All we need now is a launch date

That's paired with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, plus a memory card slot for you to add your own. The unit is going to be IP68 waterproofed and come carrying a 3,930mAh battery, which is impressively big for a consumer smartphone.

The 12-megapixel rear camera is going to come with an f/1.7 aperture, according to Blass, while Qualcomm's Quick Charging 3.0 is supported and you get the same extras as on the HTC U11 – Edge Sense for squeezing the sides of your phone to carry out certain actions and BoomSound for a higher-quality audio experience.

While Blass did include a link to the HTC event on November 2 in his specs list, a later tweet said that particular occasion will be used to launch the mid-range HTC U11 Life instead. Whatever happens, we'll bring you the HTC news as we get it, so you can make an informed decision this holiday season.
